AT MAD, OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE THE DESIGN-BUILD PROCESS AN ENJOYABLE ONE FOR OUR CLIENTS. HAVING A CLEAR AND STREAMLINED PROCESS IS A HUGE PART OF HOW WE ACHIEVE THAT. IN ORDER TO BEST SERVE OUR CLIENTS WE WORK IN THREE DISTINCT PHASES STARTING WITH: THE CONSULTATION.
Every project begins with The Consultation. After an initial phone consultation to assess your design needs, an on-site consultation is the next step in the design process. In this 2 hour, intensive, on-site, customized design meeting some of the things that we will include, will be:
Walk through of each room to determine your style and how you live
Take preliminary measurements
Provide ideas and/or solutions for color, furniture placement, window treatments and lighting
Provide ideas for new furniture and furnishings
Provide styling tips
Teach you how to mix and match patterns, styles, heirloom and antique pieces
Explain the design process and what to expect
Answer any other questions you may have
Following The Consultation, our team will put together a design proposal for the next stage of your project. You will be left with a written list of suggestions and resources specific to your project needs.
For more involved, Full Service Design, projects this consultation is used as an intake meeting to provide us with all of the necessary information to kick off your project. If time permits, Megan will also take photos and measurements of your space to be used throughout the design process. Our minimum service fee for a Full Service Project is $4000, regardless of project size. Let’s get started!
Love doing the work yourself but simply need a little direction? Started working on a project but are burned out or just overwhelmed? We’re happy to help with that too! DIY Consultations are a great way to get professional expertise and advice on an hourly basis. This time can include, furniture placement, shopping lists, paint colors, budget, art placement, accessories, style suggestions or direction with on-line shopping for your design. You will be left with a step by step to do list at the end of your consult.
Design, Research & Presentation
Megan develops a design direction which includes architectural finishes and color schemes for furniture, furnishings, millwork, etc. Our team will prepare detailed plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, details, and/or sketches as required by the design. We will prepare a detailed presentation package including a complete drawing set and all the fun samples for you to see, touch and feel at the presentation!
Project Management & Installation
There are a lot of moving parts in any renovation or decorating project. We manage all of them from start to finish. An extensive network of resources and partnerships allow us to deliver outstanding, hands-on service, and beautifully creative solutions that bring our vision to life. Every project finishes with a fantastic TV-like REVEAL.
DESIGN A LA CART
Room Packages are a budget friendly way to furnish a room while still getting the same great service and design that Megan Arquette Design is known for. Once you fill out our questionnaire and meet with us via Skype or phone, we get started designing your custom space. We design and order all the key pieces and have them drop-shipped to you to implement our plan. Each room package features a complete look including all the key pieces, and are priced at a flat rate based on room type. One complete room, one flat rate! Smaller styling accessories typically not included. A 3 hour styling session is included for those in the greater Los Angeles area. Room Packages start at $7500 flat fee including furnishings.
